Pocket Measure Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Pocket Measure (com.brainer.ruler) is an Android measurement toolkit. It does not require an account and does not send your measurements to the developer.
Information handled by the app
Pocket Measure uses display dimensions, touch input and device sensors to provide its ruler, protractor, level, compass and unit conversion tools. Ruler calibration factors are stored only in the app's private preferences on your device until you reset them, clear app data or uninstall the app.
The app does not collect names, email addresses, contacts, precise location, user accounts or measurement history. The developer does not operate a server that receives measurement data.
Camera and AR features
Camera permission is requested only when you choose the camera protractor or start optional AR measurement. Camera frames are used in real time to display a local preview or detect surfaces. Pocket Measure does not save or upload camera images.
AR measurement uses Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), provided by Google LLC. Processing performed by that service is subject to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Advertising and privacy choices
Pocket Measure uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show an adaptive banner outside the immersive ruler and occasional interstitial ads at natural tool transitions. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share the device IP address (which may be used to estimate approximate location), app launches, taps, ad or video views, diagnostic information, and device or other identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.
Pocket Measure uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent or show privacy choices where required. The app requests ads only when UMP reports that ads may be requested. When required, a Privacy options action is available in the app so you can review your choices. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings.
Google services and sharing
Advertising data described above is processed and shared with Google LLC under Google's terms and privacy practices. Pocket Measure does not sell personal information. The app does not include a separate analytics, crash-reporting, login, billing, social or push-notification SDK.

Retention, security and deletion
Sensor readings, touch positions, camera previews and AR anchors remain in memory only while the relevant tool is active. Local ruler calibration can be removed from the calibration screen or by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. The developer does not maintain user accounts or a server-side measurement database. Retention and deletion of data processed by Google advertising services are governed by Google's policies and your Google and Android advertising/privacy controls.
Children
Pocket Measure is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app's target-audience and advertising settings will comply with applicable Google Play requirements. If children are included in the target audience, applicable Families policy and approved-ads requirements will be applied before release.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated if the app's permissions, SDKs or data practices change.
