Privacy Policy for Floaty Words
Privacy Policy for Floaty Words
Effective date: July 11, 2026
Floaty Words (the "App") is an Android word puzzle game. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
Information stored on your device
The App stores game progress, settings, virtual currency, rewards, daily challenge records, and cosmetic unlocks locally on your device. This information is used to continue your game and remember your preferences. The developer does not operate a game account or gameplay-data server for this release.
You can remove local game data by clearing the App's storage in Android settings or uninstalling the App.
Gameplay analytics
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate gameplay and improve difficulty, retention, and advertising balance. The App records events such as tutorial completion, stage starts and clears, failed attempts, hint usage, rewarded-ad completion, and interstitial impressions. Event details can include stage number, game mode, category, puzzle-piece count, completion time, and counts of mistakes or hints.
The App does not send the puzzle answer, text entered by the player, a name, an email address, or a game-account profile with these gameplay events. Google Analytics for Firebase may also automatically collect app-instance identifiers, device and app information, approximate location derived from network information, app launches, sessions, and diagnostics. Data is encrypted in transit and is used for analytics, app functionality, and measuring advertising performance.

Advertising and consent
The App uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to provide rewarded and interstitial advertisements. The App also uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising privacy choices where required.
Google's advertising services may automatically collect or share:
IP address, which may be used to estimate approximate location
App launches, taps, ad views, and other app or ad interactions
Diagnostic and performance information
Device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available
These data may be processed for advertising, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.

Sharing feature
The App can open Android's system share sheet with a puzzle image and sharing text. You choose whether to share and which app or recipient receives it. Floaty Words does not record the selected recipient or destination app.
Ratings and reviews
After a player has experienced enough of the game, the App may request the official Google Play in-app review flow. Ratings and optional review text are handled by Google Play under Google's terms. The App records only that the review flow was requested and completed; it cannot determine whether a rating was submitted or what rating was chosen.
No account required
Floaty Words does not require account registration or login. The Play Games placeholder included in the App is disabled in this release and does not authenticate a profile or upload scores.
Children
Floaty Words is a general-audience game and is not directed primarily to children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Advertising choices and age-related treatment must also follow the settings configured for the App in Google AdMob and Google Play.
Data sale and developer access
The developer does not sell personal information. The developer can access aggregated gameplay and usage reports through Google Analytics for Firebase, but does not directly receive the locally stored progress data described above. Google and its advertising partners may process data as described in their own policies and SDK disclosures.
Security and retention
Local gameplay data remains on the device until it is cleared or the App is uninstalled. Information processed by Google is retained and deleted according to Google's policies and user controls. No electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes
This policy may be updated when App features, advertising services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
