Shikaku Daily: Logic Puzzle Privacy Policy

Shikaku Daily: Logic Puzzle Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: August 6, 2026

Brainer (the “Developer”) provides Shikaku, marketed on Google Play as Shikaku Daily: Logic Puzzle (package name com.brainer.shikaku). This policy explains the information processed by the app, why it is processed, the third-party services involved, and the choices available to users.

Information stored on the device

Shikaku does not provide user accounts and does not ask users to enter a name, address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or financial information.

Stage progress, completed stages, best times, timer state, Daily Puzzle history and streaks, hint usage, notification preferences, game settings, and review-prompt state are stored locally on the device. The Developer does not transmit this game progress to a Developer-operated server.

Depending on Android and the user's backup settings, Android or a Google backup service may back up local app data. Those backups are controlled by the user's device and Google Account settings and by the relevant service provider's policies.

Advertising and consent management

The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to provide ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage region-specific privacy choices and consent.

According to Google's current Mobile Ads disclosure, the SDK may automatically collect and share the following data for advertising, analytics, security, and fraud-prevention purposes:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
  • product interactions such as app launches, taps, ad impressions, and video views;
  • diagnostic information such as app launch time, hang rate, energy usage, and performance data; and
  • Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other device or account identifiers where available and permitted.

Advertising data handling varies by region, consent choice, device setting, network availability, and Google policy. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. The Developer does not sell information directly provided by users through the app.

For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy, How Google uses information from apps that use its services, and Google Mobile Ads data disclosure.

Notifications

The app requests Android notification permission only after the user chooses to enable the Daily Puzzle reminder. Reminders are scheduled on the device. The Developer does not operate a push-notification server and does not collect notification content or notification interactions on a separate server. Users can disable the reminder or notification permission at any time.

Google Play In-App Review

The app may use Google Play In-App Review after a positive completion milestone. The app is not told whether the review dialog was shown, whether a rating was submitted, or what rating was given. Google processes review-related information under its own policies.

Support communications

If a user contacts the Developer by email, the user voluntarily provides an email address, message, and any attachments. The Developer uses this information only to answer the request, troubleshoot issues, and provide necessary follow-up. Support messages are deleted when no longer needed for those purposes unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Sharing and third parties

The Developer does not sell directly collected personal information. Google and its advertising partners may process information under their own policies and the user's consent choices to provide advertising, consent management, app distribution, in-app review, security, and operating-system backup services.

Retention, security, and deletion

  • Local game data remains until the user clears the app's data or uninstalls the app. Operating-system backups are governed by the user's Google Account and device backup settings.
  • Support communications are retained only as long as needed to handle the request, unless retention is required by law.
  • Information processed by Google is retained according to Google and its advertising partners' policies.
  • The Developer minimizes the information it directly handles. Google states that Mobile Ads data is encrypted in transit using TLS.

User choices

  • Reopen this policy from Settings > Privacy in the app.
  • Change applicable advertising privacy choices under Settings > Privacy > Ad privacy choices when that option is required in the user's region.
  • Reset or delete the Android advertising ID and change ad-personalization settings in Android settings.
  • Disable Daily Puzzle reminders and notification permission.
  • Delete local game data by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

Children's privacy

The app does not ask users to provide their age, name, or contact details, and the Developer does not knowingly collect direct identifiers from children. The app is not declared as specifically designed for children. If a child is believed to have provided personal information through a support message, contact the Developer so the information can be investigated and deleted.

International processing

Google and advertising partners may process information outside the user's country, subject to their policies and applicable law.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated if the app's functionality, third-party SDKs, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
