Privacy Policy for Jusan Coach (주산 코치)

Jusan Coach is a Korean-language soroban learning app. This policy explains the information handled by the app and by the advertising services included in it.

Information stored only on the device

The app stores the following learning records in Android app-private storage:

  • passed lesson identifiers;
  • the best score for each lesson; and
  • the most recently opened lesson identifier.

These records are used only to show progress, unlock the next lesson, and continue learning. They are not sent to a Brainer server, and Android backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for them.

You can delete these records at any time with Settings → Reset progress, by clearing the app's data in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app.

Advertising and information handled by Google

The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display one banner ad on top-level navigation screens. Ads are not shown during an active lesson, answer entry, or lesson result flow. The app also uses Google's User Messaging Platform SDK to check whether a privacy message or privacy-options entry point is required.

According to Google's SDK disclosure, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share:

  • the device IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
  • product interactions such as app launches, taps, and ad or video views;
  • diagnostic information such as launch time, hang rate, and energy usage; and
  • device or account identifiers such as app set ID and, where available, other device/account identifiers.

Google states that this information is used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and is encrypted in transit with TLS. Jusan Coach explicitly removes the Android Advertising ID permission, so the app and its included SDKs cannot access the normal Android Advertising ID through that permission.

The whole app is configured as child-directed. Every ad request is limited to the G content rating, child-directed treatment is enabled, under-age-of-consent treatment is enabled, and ad personalization is disabled at publisher level. The app does not use interstitial, rewarded, native, or app-open ads.

Google's handling of advertising information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google's advertising controls. Where the User Messaging Platform says privacy options are required, the app exposes them from its Settings screen.

Children

The app is designed for children learning basic soroban arithmetic. It does not create accounts and does not ask a child to enter a name, email address, phone number, precise location, school, photo, voice recording, or other personal profile information. The advertising safeguards described above are applied to every user without age profiling.

Text-to-speech

Some listening lessons send short number expressions to the Android text-to-speech service selected on the device. The app does not request microphone access and does not record or store voice. A device's selected text-to-speech provider may process the text under that provider's own privacy policy.

Permissions and features not used

Internet and network-state access are used for advertising and privacy messaging. The app does not request precise or approximate device location permission, contacts, camera, microphone, phone, SMS, broad storage, or notification permission. It has no account system, purchase flow, social sharing, analytics SDK, or developer-operated backend.

Retention and deletion

Local learning records remain until you reset progress, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Advertising data is controlled and retained by Google under its policies. If you contact us by email, we use the message and reply address only to respond and retain the correspondence only as reasonably needed for support, legal, or security purposes.

Security and international processing

Learning records are protected by Android app sandboxing. Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit. Google may process advertising information in countries other than the user's country under its privacy terms.

Changes

We may update this policy when app features, SDKs, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top will be updated, and the current version will remain available at the public policy URL linked from the app and Google Play.
