Privacy Policy for Path of Awakening

Path of Awakening (Korean title: 깨달음의 길) is an Android app provided by Brainer. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
Story progress stored on your device
The app stores your current scene and reflection answers locally on your device. Brainer does not operate an app server and does not receive this progress. If Android backup or device transfer is enabled in your operating-system settings, Android may copy this local data to your Google account or another device.
Advertising and information handled by Google
Path of Awakening uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show occasional contextual interstitial ads after selected act transitions. Ads do not cover the story or illustrations, and an unavailable or failed ad never blocks the journey. The app removes Android advertising-ID and Privacy Sandbox advertising permissions from its manifest and disables publisher-requested ad personalization. These choices reduce tracking but do not mean that the advertising service processes no information.
Google states that its Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information such as an IP address and approximate location derived from it, app and ad interactions, diagnostic and performance information, and device or other identifiers. Google may use this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Google states that the information is encrypted in transit. Exact handling can depend on region, device settings, consent choices, and Google's services.
Consent and privacy choices
Where required, the Google User Messaging Platform presents Google's consent message before advertising can be requested. If Google requires an ongoing privacy-options entry point, open About in the app and select Privacy choices to review or change those choices. You may also use the advertising controls available through your device and Google account.
Accounts, analytics, purchases, and notifications
Path of Awakening does not create user accounts, use Firebase Analytics or another developer analytics service, process in-app purchases, send push notifications, or transmit story progress to a Brainer server.
Retention and deletion
Local progress remains on your device until you start over, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app, subject to any Android backup or device-transfer copy controlled through your operating-system and Google account settings. Information handled by Google is retained and deleted according to Google's policies and your Google account or consent controls. Brainer does not hold a separate account record or cloud save to delete.
Children
Path of Awakening is intended for adults aged 18 and older and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features, advertising services, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when a material update is published.
