Privacy Policy for Hash Check

Hash Check is provided by Brainer. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Android application.
Hashing and file data
Text, expected hash values, selected file contents, and calculated results are processed on your device. Hash Check does not upload this content to the developer or use it for advertising. Files are opened through Android's system file picker and are not copied to a developer-operated server.
Advertising
Hash Check uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display a bottom banner advertisement. Google may automatically collect and share information such as IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. An IP address may be used to estimate a device's general location. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit.
Hash Check uses Google's User Messaging Platform to obtain and apply privacy choices where required. When UMP requires a privacy-options entry point, the app displays a Privacy control that lets users revisit those choices. Android also provides controls to reset or delete the advertising ID.

Developer systems and retention
Hash Check has no user accounts, developer-operated analytics service, or developer server receiving hash inputs. Advertising and consent data retained by Google is governed by Google's policies and the choices available through UMP and Android. Removing app data or uninstalling the app clears app-local state, but does not control data retained independently by Google.
Children
Hash Check is a general-purpose utility and is not designed for children under 13. The app does not knowingly ask users to provide personal information to the developer.
Security
Hash inputs remain on-device. Advertising network traffic uses transport encryption as provided by Google. No method of electronic processing is completely risk-free.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app, SDKs, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
