Privacy Policy for 아이네이스: 로마의 시작 (Aeneid: Rome Begins)

This Privacy Policy explains how Brainer handles information in 아이네이스: 로마의 시작 (Aeneid: Rome Begins), the Android application identified by package name com.brainer.aeneid (the “App”). It applies to the App and its current advertising and consent integrations.

What the App does

The App is a Korean, choice-driven story game based on Virgil’s public-domain Aeneid. It does not require an account, sign-in, name, phone number, email address, contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, or payment information to play. Brainer does not operate a server for the App’s story progress.

Information stored by the App

The App stores gameplay progress and settings in Android SharedPreferences on the device. This can include the current story scene, choice history, story flags, ending and unlocked-ending records, completed-run count, best companion record, the companion/pietas/foresight/fate/mercy/losses values, and the reduced-motion setting. These values are used only to resume the game, show the archive and endings, and apply the selected accessibility setting. The App does not attach this information to a Brainer account or send it to Brainer’s server.

Android backup is enabled for this local preference file. If the user has enabled Android backup, the Android operating system may copy these preferences to the user’s cloud backup or transfer them to another device according to the user’s Android and Google account settings. Brainer does not receive or control those operating-system backup copies.

The App also stores the wall-clock time when an interstitial ad is actually shown. This local value is used only to enforce the 90-second advertising interval across App restarts. It is not sent to Brainer, is not cleared by the in-App story reset, and is excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer. It remains until a later shown ad replaces it, the App’s storage is cleared in Android settings, or the App is uninstalled.

Advertising and consent information

The App uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). UMP requests consent information when the App starts and shows a consent form when required in the user’s region. When the consent result allows ad requests, the App prepares an interstitial ad without adding a name, email address, account ID, or custom targeting field. When required, the App provides a privacy-options control in Settings so the user can review or change the advertising choice.

Google’s advertising services may process app interactions, diagnostics and crash logs, device or other identifiers, an advertising ID when available, and approximate location as applicable. They may also process an IP address, consent choices, and records about an ad request, impression, click, or related delivery diagnostics. The availability and use of these data depend on the device, region, Google’s service configuration, and the user’s choices. Google may use this information to provide, measure, prevent abuse of, and improve advertising and to meet legal obligations. Google’s handling is also governed by its own privacy terms:

The App shows an interstitial only at a separate act-break screen after acts 2, 4, 6, or 8 and only when the previous interstitial was at least 90 seconds earlier. An ad never covers a story choice, first launch, failure, or the result the player is reading. A missing consent result, failed request, unavailable ad, or failed display does not block game progress.

Information the App does not collect directly

The App has no sign-in, user account, social feature, in-app purchase, user-submitted content, separate Brainer-operated analytics or crash-reporting service, or App-owned remote database. The App uses network access for Google advertising and consent services and sets cleartext traffic to false.

Sharing

Brainer does not sell or share the App’s locally stored story progress with advertisers or other companies. The advertising and consent information described above is sent to or processed by Google’s services when those services are used and when permitted by applicable consent and device settings. The App has no other App-owned server recipient. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a public authority.

Security

The App keeps story progress in Android application-private preferences and does not send it to Brainer. The manifest disables cleartext network traffic. Google’s services handle their network transport and security under Google’s published practices. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should keep Android and Google Play services updated and protect their device and account.

Retention and deletion

Gameplay progress and settings remain in the App’s local storage until the user chooses 모든 진행 초기화 (“Reset all progress”), clears the App’s storage in Android settings, or uninstalls the App. The in-App reset clears the saved voyage, endings, history, records, and settings and starts a new default voyage. Android backup copies, if enabled, are managed by Android and the user’s backup account; the user must remove or manage those copies through Android backup settings.

Advertising and consent services retain and delete their information under their own policies and controls. A user can revisit the UMP privacy options from the App’s Settings when that control is required, and can use Google’s device or account controls for advertising choices where available. For questions about a privacy request, contact auction@mekorean.com. Because the App does not create user accounts or maintain an App-owned server profile, there is no App account to close.

Children

The App is an adult literary game for audiences 18 and older. It is not directed to children or minors. Brainer does not knowingly collect personal information from children or minors through the App. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information, please contact auction@mekorean.com so the concern can be reviewed.

Changes to this policy

Brainer may update this Policy when the App, its SDKs, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top will be updated for a material revision. The App’s Settings and About screens link to the current policy URL. Users should review the policy after an update.
