Privacy Policy for Lumi Garden

Lumi Garden is provided by Brainer. The app stores gameplay progress, puzzle marks, tutorial status, daily-puzzle progress, streak information, review-prompt eligibility, interstitial-ad frequency timestamps, and—if enabled—the Daily Garden reminder setting and last-opened day locally on the user's device. This information is used to continue the game and enforce conservative review, ad, and reminder rules. It is not transmitted to Brainer.

If the user has Android backup or device transfer enabled, Android may copy this local gameplay information to the user's Google-managed backup or another device. Brainer cannot access that copy. Google's handling of Android backup data is governed by the user's Google Account and Google privacy settings.

Lumi Garden does not require an account and does not ask for a name, email address, contacts, location, photos, microphone access, or other sensitive permissions. On Android 13 and later, notification permission is requested only if the user turns on the optional Daily Garden reminder.

Optional Daily Garden reminder

The reminder is off by default. If the user enables it, Lumi Garden schedules an inexact local notification around 7 PM in the device's current time zone only when the app has not already been opened that day and the Daily Garden is still available. It does not use remote push messaging, exact alarms, false urgency, or advertising notifications. Users can turn it off at any time in the app or in Android settings. Stale reminders are cancelled when the app opens.

Google services

Lumi Garden uses the official Google Play In-App Review library. Google Play may process information needed to provide that platform service under Google's own privacy policy. Lumi Garden does not receive the user's rating or learn whether Google Play displayed the review prompt.

Advertising and analytics

Lumi Garden uses Google Mobile Ads to show limited interstitial ads between selected campaign stages and an optional rewarded ad only when the player chooses to reveal a missing Lumi. Normal gameplay remains available without watching a rewarded ad. The app does not use a separate analytics SDK.

Google Mobile Ads and participating advertising partners may automatically collect or share general location inferred from the device's IP address, app interactions (including ad views and engagement), diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers (including the advertising ID when available under device and user settings).

These data may be processed to deliver and measure ads, analyze performance, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Data is encrypted in transit. Exact processing depends on region, consent choices, Google settings, and participating partners. See Google's privacy policy and Google's business data responsibility information.

Lumi Garden uses Google User Messaging Platform to request and store advertising consent choices where required. Ads are requested only after the SDK reports that requests are permitted. Where Google requires a privacy-options entry point, users can reopen it from About → Privacy choices. Users can also manage ad personalization in their Google settings.

Data retention and deletion

Local gameplay, ad-frequency, and reminder information remains on the device until the user clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app. A copy managed by Android backup may remain or later be restored according to the user's Google Account backup settings. Because Brainer does not receive or control this information, Brainer cannot retrieve or delete it remotely. Google and advertising partners control their own retention and deletion processes under their policies and user-account controls.

Children's privacy

Lumi Garden is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed specifically to children under 13. The app does not knowingly ask children to provide personal information.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in an updated public policy with a revised effective date.
