Anomaly Stories Privacy Policy — 이상현상

Effective date: 26 October 2026

Brainer Studio develops Anomaly Stories (also displayed as 이상현상 or 異常現象), a fictional horror visual novel. For privacy questions or support, contact auction@mekorean.com.

Game records on your device

The game saves your current shift, choices, visited scenes, clues, discovered endings and reading history on your device. Reading history contains the game's displayed text so revised or unread passages are not skipped. Language, text size, motion, sound, vibration, reading-skip and ambience preferences are also saved locally.

The Android app separately stores an earned ambience-pack unlock, the display-compatibility setting and whether it has attempted to request a Google Play review. The review-request record is not a record of your rating or whether you submitted a review. Local advertising controls also retain timestamps, frequency counters and a local run identifier to limit interstitial ads and prevent repeat requests for the same completed run. These controls do not upload your story choices.

We do not operate a player-account or game-save server. The app does not intentionally upload your narrative choices, story text or save file to Brainer Studio or an advertising service. It has no chat, account registration, cloud save or separate custom analytics service. Advertising services perform their own measurement as described below.

The story and included ambience can be used offline. Ad, consent and Google Play services can communicate over the internet. Their failure or unavailability does not prevent story progression.

Advertising and privacy choices

The Android app uses Google's GMA Next-Gen advertising SDK and User Messaging Platform (UMP). It may display banner ads during ordinary reading and limited interstitial ads between later successfully completed runs when you return to the menu. The first survival and its review opportunity are protected from interstitial ads, as are failed runs and immediate retries. A voluntarily watched rewarded ad can unlock an additional ambience pack on this device. Watching a rewarded ad is not required for the rules, any story ending, restarting or skipping previously read text. Ad failures do not block the game.

Consent information may be updated when you open the app. During ordinary reading, the app can prepare banner and interstitial ads automatically after checking the privacy eligibility reported by UMP and presenting a required consent form. Preparing and watching a rewarded ad remain separate actions that you choose. When required, an Ad privacy choices action lets you revisit the available choices through the app's ambience and privacy controls. Changing your choices invalidates prepared ads; unavailable consent or ads do not prevent reading.

Google's advertising SDK collects and shares IP addresses, product and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device identifiers such as advertising ID and app set ID. Applicable identifiers associated with signed-in device accounts can also be processed. An IP address may be used to estimate general location. Google uses these data for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Its SDK encrypts these data in transit using TLS. Actual handling depends on applicable settings, privacy choices and services. See Google's SDK disclosure and Google Privacy Policy.

Android's advertising privacy controls can reset or delete the advertising identifier. Available privacy choices do not erase data already processed by Google; Google's own retention and deletion practices apply.

The app and its SDK dependencies declare permissions for networking, advertising identifiers, basic device/network state and background work. The app does not request access to contacts, camera, microphone, photographs, call history, phone numbers or precise location.

Optional Google Play reviews

After a completed normal survival, the app may request Google's standard in-app review card when you return to the menu. Google may choose not to display it. There is no reward, content restriction or custom rating questionnaire.

If you submit a review, Google Play processes the rating and review text. The app does not read your review. Reviews may be public on Google Play or private developer feedback during a closed test. Google describes this processing in its review data disclosure. You can remove a submitted review through Google Play or your Google account.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until removed. Clear shift records in Settings removes your progress, endings and reading history after confirmation. It retains language and preferences, the separately stored ambience unlock, the review-request record and advertising frequency controls.

Use Android's Clear storage action or uninstall the app to remove all local app data. The app provides no account or cloud restore for an earned unlock. Its Android configuration excludes app data from backup and device transfer. Clearing local records does not delete a review submitted to Google Play or data already processed by Google services. Contact us with privacy questions; Google service data and controls are described in Google's policies.

Audience and changes

This fictional horror game is not directed at children. Its store rating is determined through the store's content-rating process. We will update this policy when the app's data practices change and show the effective date on the published policy.
