Privacy Policy — 가로세로 낱말퀴즈 - 시사와 상식
Effective date: October 25, 2026
Brainer ("we") provides 가로세로 낱말퀴즈 - 시사와 상식 (a Korean crossword game, previously named 낱말정원 크로스워드), with Android package name com.brainer.crosswordgarden. This policy explains information handled by the app and its integrated services. Privacy contact: auction@mekorean.com. Developer website: https://mekorean.com.
Gameplay and local storage
The game works without an account. Puzzle entries, completed stages, daily-puzzle dates, hint balances, collection progress and preferences are stored on your device. Downloaded public puzzle packs and the content of editions you have started are also stored locally so that they can be used offline. Local completion receipts, review-request history and advertising-frequency records, including recent presentation-attempt times, prevent repeated rewards, requests and excessive interruptions. We do not receive your puzzle answers, game saves or these frequency records, and the app does not provide cloud synchronization. You can reset active game progress and preferences in Settings. Public-content caches, first-start edition pins, reward receipts, review history and advertising-frequency records may remain across an in-game reset until you clear app storage through Android or uninstall the app. Provider consent information may be stored separately. A progress reset does not delete information already held by service providers or emails you have sent us.
Optional puzzle downloads
The app can download public puzzle manifests and packs over HTTPS from our content-delivery host, Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. Automatic checks are enabled by default while the app is in the foreground. You can turn automatic downloads off in Settings and continue playing bundled or already saved puzzles. The archive also offers an explicit manual refresh. Downloading does not require an account or an AI service.
Network requests necessarily expose connection information, such as your IP address, requested public file path, request time, HTTP headers and technical network information, to Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process this information, including location inferred from IP and service/security diagnostics, to deliver content, operate its network and prevent abuse. We do not attach a player identifier, advertising identifier, answers, game saves or a selected puzzle to these requests. We do not add a Cloudflare analytics SDK or a separate gameplay tracking service. The same public files are available to all players; the app determines publication dates locally.
Cloudflare handles connection information according to its service terms and Privacy Policy at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/. Its service and security retention rules apply; we do not promise that connection data is never logged or immediately deleted. Contact us about developer-controlled content delivery and applicable privacy requests. This content service is separate from advertising. Turning rewarded-ad access off does not turn puzzle downloads off, and turning automatic downloads off does not change advertising privacy choices.
Advertising
Version 1.3.0 and later contain banner ads and occasional full-screen interstitial ads at completed-stage transitions, provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads Next-Gen SDK. These standard ad requests do not depend on the optional rewarded-hint setting. Unavailable ads, privacy-flow errors and offline use do not prevent the core puzzles from working.
Rewarded hints are separate and require a voluntary adult (18 or older) selection and an explicit request to watch the ad. We store that preference locally; we do not request your date of birth or identification documents. You can turn rewarded-ad access off in Settings. A hint is granted only after the provider reports the required completion event. Declining a rewarded ad does not block normal play. Earlier releases offered only this optional adult rewarded flow and retain that behavior.
When ad requests are permitted, Google and its service providers may process connection information such as IP-derived approximate location, app/ad interactions, diagnostic/performance information and applicable identifiers for advertising, measurement, reliability and fraud prevention. The exact information depends on the SDK configuration, privacy choices and app version. New versions apply conservative age-restricted ad treatment and a general-audience content limit to all formats, including requests not associated with an adult selection. These restrictions limit personalization and advertising-identifier use; they do not mean that no connection or diagnostic information is processed. Earlier versions' adult advertising may use advertising ID, app set ID and other applicable identifiers. The app does not request precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or a user account. We do not separately integrate an analytics or crash-reporting service.
Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) checks whether ad requests are permitted and handles applicable privacy choices. The app applies matching conservative age-treatment parameters in the consent and ads SDKs; a form may not be presented in restricted treatment. Where required, you can reopen the provider's privacy options from Settings and change the choices the provider offers. Turning rewarded-ad access off prevents subsequent rewarded-ad requests, while standard banner/interstitial advertising remains separate. Android advertising-ID controls and applicable provider controls remain available. Changing these settings does not retroactively erase provider-held information. Google processes its own data under its policies and applicable law.
Read Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy and its advertising information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Google describes the Android ads SDK's data handling at https://developers.google.com/admob/android/next-gen/privacy/play-data-disclosure.
Google Play and external links
The app may use the official Google Play in-app review interface after a positive gameplay milestone. A review is optional, is not rewarded and does not control access to the game. Google Play handles submissions according to its own policies. Opening this privacy-policy page or an edition's source link launches your browser, and the destination service may handle technical connection data or cookies under its own policies. Source pages are opened only when you select their links. This policy is hosted by Google's Blogger service.
Support
If you email us, we receive the email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond and resolve the request. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. We retain support messages only as necessary to handle support, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes; you may contact us to request deletion where applicable.
Retention, security and your choices
Local game information remains on your device until you reset it, clear storage or uninstall, subject to the cache and duplicate-reward exceptions described above. Service providers determine retention of information they process under their policies and applicable obligations. Puzzle downloads use HTTPS, and Google states that ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using TLS. No electronic system can guarantee absolute security. We do not sell your game saves or operate a database of player identities. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict processing or withdraw consent. Contact us for developer-controlled support or content-delivery information and consult Google's privacy controls for information Google holds.
Audience and changes
The game is intended for teens and adults (13+), not children under 13. Optional rewarded-hint access is intended only for adults who choose to enable it; standard advertising uses the restricted treatment described above. We do not ask for a date of birth or identification documents. Contact us if you believe information from a child under 13 has been provided. We may update this policy when app functionality, services or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated policy here with a revised effective date.
